STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN

Administration
1.	BHS staff for teachers; coordinated school health project 
coalition meeting is this Thursday, January 26th at 5 PM in admin 
conference room B.  Food and drinks served.  See you there.  For more 
information call Shannon Banks at (510) 253-6448.

2.	Attention all CSF participants!  Your 4 hours of community 
service and $15.00 dues are due at the end of the semester, January 
27, 2006.

3.               Finals start tomorrow, Wed, Jan. 25th.  1st and 2nd 
periods only!  Lunch will be served from 12:46-1:28 PM.


Clubs


Sports
1.               Badminton tryouts: 6 AM, Feb 6, 2006.  You must have 
your athletic packets completed! Information meeting Tuesday, Jan. 
24th at lunch, room D-218

2.                Volleyball tryouts: Monday, Feb. 6 in the old gym 
at 3:45 PM.  A complete athletic packet must be turned in on that 
day.  Beginners welcome!  Contact Coach Chris Paik at

Senior / Junior Section
1.               All seniors who worked as Poll Workers for the 
special election on Nov. 8th, please pick up your certificate from 
Ms. Mcknight in room D-148.

2.               Job Opening!  Student needed to file for two hours 
each week in a tax and financial planning office in West Berkeley 
near Gillman and 6th Street.  $8.00/per hour.  For more information, 
contact Linda at 525-1010.


Events/ Performance
1.               In celebration of Dr. King's birthday and Black 
History month, CAS and the Parent Resource Center will present: Team 
I' Themba, a south African Dance & Dram Troupe at in the Florence 
Schwinley Little Theatre.  Through dance and drama the group will 
tell the story of how South Africa's people overcome in their 
struggle for freedom from apartheid to become a nation preparing for 
peace with itself.  February 3 at 6:30 PM. Little Theatre. 
Admission:  Student $6.00, general $12.00.  Tickets on sale 5:00 PM 
on night of the performance at BHS ticket booth.

2               Do you want to play fun games and win cool prizes? 
Come to the cafeteria at lunch today to participate in our re-cycling 
awareness event.  Everyone is welcome to take a shot at winning our 
exciting prizes!

3.              Important Announcement concerning Winter Ball:  All 
winter ball tickets have been sold.  Tickets will be distributed at 
lunch in the D building box office.  Due to the finals schedule 
Wed-Fri tickets will be distributed from 12:46-1:28 PM.   Receipts 
and ID's are required.

4.             The Mardi Grass boat cruise dock location has been 
changed.  The vessel, Monte Carlo will board at the Jack London 
Square Ferry Boar Dock near the Tony Romas Bar/ BBQ Restaurant on 
Clay Street.  Parking is available at the parking garage above 
Yoshi's for a fee.  Students should arrive no later than 7:30 PM on 
Saturday, Jan 28.  Registration will begin at 7 PM and the vessel 
will depart promptly at 8 PM.  The boat will return at 11 PM to the 
Jack London Square Dock.




SALES
1.	Order Bart tickets today, Jan 24 at lunch time only.  Parent 
Resource Center, Room D224. Tickets are $16 each, cash only, please!

2.	Year books are on sale in H102 everyday at lunch and after 
school.  They are $70.00.  Checks are payable to BHS Yearbooks
