Administration
1.	There is a Kente cloth on display on the wooden panel wall in the
BHS Food
Court on loan to Berkeley High School from Katie Issel, BHS class of
1990.
The Kente cloth, made by Asante people and the Ewe people of Ghana and
Togo dates back to the 12th century in the former Gold Coast of Africa.
Kente is identified by dazzling, multicolored patterns of bright colors,
geometric shade and bold design. The Kente cloth began as a festive
dress
for special occasions; traditionally worn by men as a kind of toga and
by
women as upper wrapper. For more information on the Kente cloth there
is
a story-board just under the wall hanging.
