STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN
December 9, 2005

Administration
1.	Hey, do you ever listen to the bulletin and think, "I could 
do way better than those losers?"  Well, now's your chance.  Libby's 
moving and we're holding auditions in C207 on Wednesday, December 
14th at lunch for her replacement.

2.	If you need a duplicate ID picture or an ID picture, you need 
to go to D173 and sign up to take your ID picture.  ID pictures will 
be taken on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting next week 12/13, during 
lunch and after school.  YOU MUST SIGN UP FIRST IN ORDER TO GET YOUR 
ID PICTURE TAKEN.

3.	Holiday Meal is this Saturday! Leadership needs your help 
cooking, serving or cleaning. Come any time Friday after school or 
Saturday (7a.m.- 6p.m.).  Earn service hours! Bring cans!! BHS Food 
Court!


Clubs
1.  Have you ever lost someone due to suicide?  Do you think suicide 
is still a growing epidemic?  Come to the suicide prevention club 
Fridays at lunch in room C338.


Sports
1.	The girls volleyball pictures are in.  If you haven't turned 
in your uniform, exchange it for your pictures in the athletic office 
at lunch or after school.

2.	The Varsity Boys Basketball team hosts the Berkeley Classic 
Tournament in the Donahue Gym this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. 
Games are from 3:30 to 8:45 PM on Thursday and Friday, and 2:00 to 
7:15 PM on Saturday.   Your Yellow Jackets open up their first game 
on Thursday at 7:00 PM against Washington of San Francisco. Tickets 
are $4 student/ $6 adult.  Go jackets.


Senior / Junior Section
1.	College visits:  Friday, December 9th, 12:20 PM - Hawaii Pacific

2.	For Sophomores and Juniors: Tuesday, December 13 at 
lunchtime: presentation on United World Colleges.  This is a great 
opportunity for students who are interested in living and studying 
abroad during high school, regardless of ability to pay.  There are 
ten United World Colleges in the UK, Singapore, Canada, Switzerland, 
USA, Italy, Venezuela, HongKong, Norway, and India.  Each College has 
its own distinctive character but all share a common mission. 
Students from all over the world gather
to study and participate in community service. For more information,

Events/ Performance
1.	Everyone is invited to enjoy the holiday sounds of the 
Berkeley High Jazz Lab Band I and II under the direction of Charles 
Hamilton on Friday, December 16th, 7:30p.m. at the Florence Schwimley 
Little Theatre (entrance on Allston Way).  Doors open at 7p.m. 
Delicious food and refreshments
will be available.  Donation is $10.00 for adults, free for students 
and BHS staff.  Come support and enjoy the Berkeley High Jazz program!


SALES
1.	Winterball tickets will go on sale Monday, 12/10/05 at the 
Allston Way box office after school all week.  Tickets are $50.00. 
Students must have ID and a students activities contract on file.

2.	Yearbooks are on sale in H102 everyday at lunch and after 
school.  They are $65 dollars until December 16, 2005.  Make checks 
payable to BHS yearbooks.
