[BHS etree] SCRIP: Buy scrip for the holiday season

Remember, there is no extra charge for using scrip, which is like a
gift certificate. The money BHS earns by the sale of scrip comes from
the merchants!  They give BHSDG a discount on the scrip (Berkeley
Bowl 4%, Solano Avenue Merchants 8% and Peet's 10%).  You, the
purchaser, get dollar for dollar what you pay for.  

Paying for your holiday purchases with scrip instead of cash or
credit card generates money for Berkeley High. As the holiday season
approaches, please consider using scrip for those extra trips to
Berkeley Bowl ($20 coupons) and Peets ($20 and $50 cards)!  Peets
cards can be nice gifts of themselves at this time of year.  

The Development Group also sells Solano Avenue gift certificates ($10
coupons), which many merchants on Solano and nearby streets accept.
