This past week a new dialing system took over the task of notifying
parents when their child misses a class. Currently, the recording
does not specify which period the child has missed. The old auto
dialer, which was in use last year, was restricted by the number of
calls it could make in the evening. The new system can call every
family in the school within a five minute period. In fact, VP Rory
Bled did use the new program to place a call to every student's home
the day before Back to School Night. Howver, the phone system is only
as good as the phone numbers on file. If you change your phone
number, please let the office know. There was no phone notification
system in September.

If your child is absent for one or more periods, please call the
Attendance Office at 644-6209. Your call will generate a clearance
slip which your child can pick up before school, during lunch or
after school. Your child should pick up the clearance slip and show
it to the teachers whose classes they missed.
