the escaped tiger with a tranquilizer dart, it became utterly subdued 
and tranquil.

FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS
TODAY - SAT/ACT TEST DATES – October 12 is the late registration 
deadline for the November 5 SAT and SAT subject tests. November 4 is 
the regular registration for the December 3 ACT.  I generally recommend 
that juniors take the PSAT in October and wait until spring to take the 
SAT or the ACT.

WRITING COMPETITION FOR 10-12TH GRADERS – Bennington College Young 
Writers Awards invite you to submit your poem, short story, play or 
nonfiction essay.  Submission forms are available in D221.  Deadline:  
November 1.

College Admissions Course at Albany Adult School.  Taught by veteran 
College Admissions Counselor Jim Walker on high school academic 
advising, college admissions testing, college selection, etc.  This two 
session class is held on October 5 and 6 from 7:00-9:00.  Register at 
the Albany Adult School, 559-6580.  Cost: $25.

JOB OPPORTUNITY
Work in an insurance office.  Requires accurate filing, copying, 
scanning, etc.  Five to ten hours per week.  Pay: $9 per hour.  Contact
