"WHEN YOU BECOME 18, A Survival Guide For Teenagers"

The California State Bar Association has just updated its excellent guide
for teenagers as they become adult in the eyes of the law.
Question-and-answer style discussions cover SURFING THE INTERNET - VOTING -
DRUGS - DRIVING - MOVING OUT - CREDIT -- MARRIAGE & PARTNERSHIP - SEX -
WORKING & TAXES - CRIMES & CONSEQUENCES - CIVIL LAW & LAWSUITS - MONEY
MATTERS and a myriad of other rules and responsibilities affecting teens who
have entered adulthood.

Titled "WHEN YOU BECOME 18, A Survival Guide For Teenagers", the guide is
available in English, Spanish, Chinese and Korean.  Copies can be ordered by
calling toll free 1-888-875-5297; or emailing your mailing address and name
to 18 at calbar.ca.gov.  The publication is also available on the Internet at
the home page of the Bar Association of  www.calbar.ca.gov.  Click on Public
Services in the upper left, and then on Consumer Information in the left

The State Bar's Web site also includes the popular consumer guide for
younger youth titled "KIDS & THE LAW: An A-Z Guide for Parents" (last
updated in 2004).  These publications provide outstanding tools for parents
to help teenagers learn about appropriate behavior in different
circumstances.
