SAT WORD OF THE DAY: RHETORIC – things that people say for effect,
rather than substance. Political debates usually avoid substance and
lean toward rhetoric, since the main goal of most candidates is to make
a strong impression.

Indian: 0.7%; Asian/Pacific Islander – 36.1%; Chicano/Latino – 10.8%;
White – 39.6%; Other – 5.4%; Not State: 4.8%.
