!. Berkeley educators have a long history of putting pen to paper to write
highly significant manuscripts. From Becky Wheat's books on early childhood
development to Rick Ayers and Amy Crawford's Great Books for High School
Kids: A Teacher’s Guide to Books That Can Change Teens’ Lives, the list goes
on. The most recent is by BUSD teacher, principal, and current teacher and
resource to all of the new teachers in the BUSD, Jan Goodman. She will be
reading from her book, "One Teacher in Ten: Gay and Lesbian Educators Tell
Their Stories" (Alyson Books, 2005)Thursday, June 9 • 7:30 p.m. at Cody’s
Books • 2454 Telegraph Avenue.

2. This just in from the Berkeley Public Education Foundation: Annual
