[BHS etree] JAZZ: BHS Jazz Ensemble and Combos @ Yoshi's on May 11

Come hear the future of jazz!  The internationally acclaimed BHS Jazz
Ensemble and Combos take the stage at Yoshi's for two shows on Wednesday,
May 11th.  Appearing with them will be Mic Gillette, the dynamic trumpeter
and trombonist with Tower of Power, who has also recorded with other legends
such as Santana and the Rolling Stones.  The BHS Jazz Ensemble was recently
voted one of the top three high school bands in the country at the Monterey
Jazz Festival High School Competition, where one of its combos ranked #1 and
its soloists picked up a slew of awards.  The Ensemble and Combos have been
invited to perform at the Montreux and Umbria jazz festivals this summer.
The BHS jazz groups, led for twenty-three years by director Charles
Hamilton, showcase some of the best young jazz musicians on the national
scene.
