College Advisor's Bulletin
Wednesday, April 6, 2005

SAT WORD OF THE DAY: SUPERFICIAL – shallow; relating only to the
surface of something. A used car can be a good purchase as long as its
problems are only superficial; a few scratches and dents are okay.

CAL DAY – Saturday, April 16, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Choose from
hundreds of activities, explore Cal’s classrooms, labs and museums,
enjoy music, dance, science, sports, tours and more. A complete
schedule of activities is available at www.berkeley.edu/calday.

SENIOR SECTION.

Confused about which schools need SAT subject tests (formerly called
SAT II) and how many? Here’s a very helpful web site:
http://www.compassprep.com/subject_test. I recommend that you double
check this information with each school’s admissions web site.

If you have not yet made an appointment to see me, now is the time to
sign up. Appointment slots are available. Come to the College Center.
