SAT WORD OF THE DAY: LEVITY – excessive lightness of behavior or
feeling. A funeral is not the proper place to display levity.
NEWSLETTER ARTICLE ERROR
In my newsletter article in the section on Testing, it states, “If
sophomores are taking biology, chemistry or physics or are completing
an advanced level of a foreign language, I recommend that they take the
SAT subject test in that subject on June 11.” The date of the test is
incorrect. The SAT subject tests are given on June 4th, not June 11th.
The regular registration deadline for the June 4th test is April 29th.
Students may register online at www.collegeboard.com or my mail.
Mail-in registration forms are available in the College/Career Center.
COLLEGE VISITS

SENIOR SECTION.
SCHOLARSHIP SCAMS – There are many fraudulent organizations which prey
on families who need money for college. If an offer seems too good to
be true, it probably is false. If someone tells you that you are
guaranteed to get a scholarship, don’t believe them. You should never
have to pay for scholarship information. Please stop by if you have
questions about any solicitation you have received.

FOR JUNIORS
Confused about which schools need SAT subject tests (formerly called

http://www.compassprep.com/subject_test. I recommend that you double
check this information with each school’s admissions web site.
TODAY - If you have not yet made an appointment to see me, new sign-up
sheets will be available beginning on Monday, April 4, 8:00 a.m.
SAT – April 5 is the late registration deadline for the May 7th New SAT
