[BHS etree] MISC: Baseball field on Derby St., Important School Board Meeting March 9

At next week's BUSD meeting on March 9, BUSD Director Terry Doran is
introducing a motion that will keep open the option of the possibility of
including a regulation baseball diamond for use by Berkeley School athletes
in the Board's parcel on MLK (old location of the Alternative School). Right
now, the Board is drawing up plans for a preliminary improvement that would
not include a regulation ball field, which requires the closing of Derby St.
Doran is asking the Board to amend the scope of the plan to include a
diamond as a possibility, estimate costs, time lines, etc.

The public is permitted to address the Board before the meeting at 7:30.
