Save the date!  Come celebrate the Berkeley High School Health Center's
Grand Opening February 3, 2005 from 4 to 8 p.m. The BHS Health Center would
like to thank the community for the new $500,000 facility, funded with
Measure AA School Construction funds. The BUSD built the new facility in the
first floor of the 'H' building in the space used by the counseling
department before they moved into the new building last year,and the staff
were able to vacate the portable behind the 'G' building and
move in earlier this year. Come tour enjoy the new facility over punch,
treats, music, and fun!

The BHS Health Center is one of the few in existence, and one of the reasons
that Berkeley was selected as the "Number one Teen Healthy City in
California". Did you know that Berkeley High has the lowest teen pregnancy
rate in the state and much of the nation? Thanks to the BHS Health Center
and their programs!  Take advantage of this rare opportunity for the public
to come into the center and see all of the services the center offers to
BUSD students. Entry will be through the Martin Luther King Jr. Way and
Allston Way doors at the corner of the 'H' building at Berkeley High.
