Wells Fargo Awards $100,000 to Alameda County Public Schools, $7,500 of that
in Berkeley

At a breakfast  event in Newark Tuesday, the Berkeley schools listed below
will be seven of seventy five schools presented with checks up to $1,500.00.
Partnering with County Superintendent Sheila Jordan, Wells Fargo Bank gives
these grants to schools for the purchase supplies ranging from musical
instruments to art supplies and books, and to fund special projects and
programs.  Thank you Wells Fargo Bank, and thank you Sheila Jordan.

Berkeley Public Schools Receiving Grants:

Berkeley High School			Community Partnerships Academy/Textbooks	$1,500.00

Berkeley High School			Communication Arts and Sciences/Textbooks	$1,000.00

Willard Middle School			Student Government Groups				$1,000.00
Emerson Elementary School		Mentoring and Tutoring					$1,000.00
Thousand Oaks Elementary School	Professional Development  				$1,000.00

Malcolm X Elementary School		Professional Development				$1,000.00
Berkeley Unified School District	Mentoring, art, & counseling for at-risk
