Administration
1.    Reminder: there is a MINIMUM DAY this Wednesday, December 8th.
Students come to school at 10:00 am.

Clubs
1.    CAS Presents "Berkeley High Poetry Slam" on Wednesday, December 15th.
Sign up to read, 6:30 p.m.  Slam begins at 7:00 p.m. in G210.  $1 donation
at the door will cover. Have two poems ready in case you make Round 2.

2.    Anyone who had Ms. Green 2nd semester of last year either 2nd or 6th
period, please report to Ms. Green's room (C224) Tuesday, December 7th at
lunch.

3.    Are you an inspiring table tennis player who is looking for
competition or are you a casual ping pong player looking to have fun?  Come
join us at lunch on Tuesday, December 7, for the first meeting of the BHS
table tennis club.  We will be meeting in the upper floor of the old gym.

4.    There will be no Cooking Club, Monday 12/6/04.  Meetings will resume
the following week on 12/13.

Sports
Check <www.viewmyshedule.com> for the most up to date sports schedules for
this week.  If you reach the main site then search for Berkeley High School
on the "public site."

Senior Section 
                   
1.    Financial Aid Night for SENIOR PARENTS: Tuesday, December 7, 6:30-8:30
p.m. in the Berkeley High School Library (second floor of the new building).
A representative from the UC Berkeley Financial Aid office will walk us
through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

2.    It's not too late to apply to many Cal State Campuses!  The following
campuses are still accepting applications: Cal Maritime, Bakersfield,
Channel Islands, Dominguez Hills, Fresno, Fullerton (engineering, computer
science and communications majors only), Hayward, Los Angeles, Monterey Bay,
Northridge, Sacramento, San Bernardino, Stanislaus, Humboldt, San Francisco
State (except for majors in nursing, radio & TV, cinema, apparel design &
merchandising, and interior design), and San Jose State.  Please see Ms.
Abrams in D221 if you would like help in filling out an application.

3.    Seniors: if you would like to meet with the College Advisor, there are
appointments now available.  Go to D221 to sign up.

4.    Hispanic Scholarship Fund: $1,000 - $2,500.  Must be a high school
senior, US citizen or permanent resident of Hispanic heritage with a minimum
GPA of 3.0.  Applications available in the College Center or at
<http://www.hsf.net/scholarship/programs/hs.php>.

5.    SENIOR REMINDER: Please pick up your early graduation petition forms
from the Registrar's office or the Counseling Center. Make sure they are
completely filled out, by the counselor and your parent.  They are due back
at the Registrar's office by December 10th.

                   
Events/ Performance
1.    Don't be losers: come see the Berkeley High Band and Orchestra
performs on Thursday, December 9, starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Community
Theater.  Admission is free so come and be intellectually titillated by the
music of Schubert and Persnickety.

1. Yearbooks are on sale for $60.00.  Go to H102 at lunch.
