STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN

Administration
1.    Students:  you can get a photo ID on Thursdays at lunchtime.  Please
take advantage of these times if you do not have an ID.  All students are
required to have an ID and you will no longer be able to ask the office
for temporary ID.

2.    There will be an informational meeting and slide presentation for the
summer Costa Rica Science Field Trip this Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in
G307.  Students: bring your parents.  Applications will be available at the
meeting.  If you already have an application, you can turn in completed
applications and deposits at the meeting. Any questions see Mr. Crosby in
G307.

Clubs
1.    Earphone English meeting at lunch on Friday in C116.  See you there.

2.    There will be a club commissioners meeting on Thursday, December 2.
Clubs must send representatives in order to hold events on campus for the
month of December.  Please let Mrs. McKnight-Johnson --in C400-- or Noah
Fine Nathel know by Wednesday, Dec. 1st. if your club cannot attend.

3.    Everyone going on the snowboarding trip on December 4 needs to come
to a mandatory informational meeting at lunch today in C233.

4.    Hey Best Buddies at BHS!  We are having a club chapter meeting on
Thursday, 12/2/04, at lunch in H106.  Come see your buddy and discuss
future events.

Sports
1.    All Cross Country runners:  please return your uniforms to Coach
Goodrich in G105 or you will be changed for them.

2.    Attention: Badminton Team- Bring your T-shirt design to D219 on
December 2, 2004 at lunch.

Senior Section 
 1.  School visits:
Thursday, December 2     Cornish College of the Arts (WA)
                   

1.    Financial Aid Night for senior parents: Tuesday, December 7, 6:30-8:30
p.m.  in the Berkeley High School Library ( second floor of the new
building).  A representative of the UC Berkeley financial aid office will
walk us through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

2.    Hispanic Scholarship Fund: $1,000 - $2,500.  Must be a high school
senior, US citizen or permanent resident of Hispanic heritage with a
minimum GPA of 3.0.  Applications available in the College Center or at
http://www.hsf.net/scholarship/programs/hs.php.

3.    Senior reminder!  Please pick up your early graduation petition forms.
(Registrar's office or the Counseling Center).   Make sure they are
completely filled out by the counselor and your parent.  They are due
back at the Registrar's office by December 10th.

                   
Events/ Performance
1.    Come to the BHS Fall Play!  Created by Advanced Theatre Projects, "O
and E"  is a crazy, modern version of the old Greek myth.  Opens Friday,
December 3 at 8:00 pm.   $5 for students.  It's a good show so don't miss
it!

2.    Don't be a loser: come see the Berkeley High Band and Orchestra
perform on Thursday, December 9, starting at 7:30 pm in the Community
Theater.  Admission is free so come and be intellectually titillated by
the music of   Schubert and Persnickety.
