Administration
1.    What are you smoking anyway? Curious to learn more about what those
BLUNTS might actually be doing to your body, your brain, your driving
skills?  Whether you smoke or you're concerned about a friend or family
member - come to an honest, confidential, non-judgmental discussion about
marijuana facilitated by a state-wide expert this Friday, December 3rd, 4th
period in G207.  Get a pass and just show up.  Free snacks provided.

2.    There will be an informational meeting and slide presentation for the
summer Costa Rica Science Field Trip, this Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in
G307.  Bring your parents.  Applications will be available at the
meeting.  If you already have an application, you can turn in completed
applications --and deposits-- at the meeting. See Mr. Crosby in
G307 if you have questions.

3.    LOST:  Two gold rings marked with the number 15.  Reward with return.
Please see Ms. McDaniel with any information.

Clubs
1.    There will be a club commissioners meeting on Thursday, December 2nd.
Clubs must send representatives in order to hold events on campus for the
month of December.  Please let Mrs. McKnight-Johnson in C400 or Noah Fine
Nathel know if your club cannot attend, by Wednesday, Dec. 1st.

2.    Everyone coming to the snowboarding trip on December 4th needs to come
to a mandatory informational meeting at lunch today in C233.

3.    Hey Best Buddies at BHS!  We are having a club chapter meeting on
Thursday, 12/2/04 at lunch in H106.  Come see your buddy and discuss
future events.

Sports
1.    All Cross Country runners please return your uniforms to Coach
Goodrich in G105 or you will be changed for them.

2.    Attention Badminton Team: bring your T-shirt design to D219 on
December 2, 2004 at lunch.

3.    Attention Water Polo Players from Fall 2004 season:  there will be an
awards potluck dinner on December 1st.  Please get a flyer from Lucy
Potter or after school in the pool if you haven't gotten an email.  Come
help us celebrate a great season!

Senior Section 
1.  School visits: 
Thursday, December 2     Cornish College of the Arts (WA)
                   
2.    Financial Aid Night for senior parents is Tuesday, December 7,
6:30-8:30 p.m.  in the Berkeley High School Library, second floor of the new
building.  A representative of the UC Berkeley financial aid office will
walk us through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

3.    Senior reminder!  Please pick up your early graduation petition forms
from the Registrar's office or the Counseling Center.   Make sure they are
completely filled out by the counselor and your parent.  They are due
back at the Registrar's office by December 10th.

                   
Events/ Performance
1.    Every year people around the world gather to remember the over 20
million people who have died of AIDS, and to learn to protect themselves.
Join us at the Community Theater on December 1st to observe WORLD AIDS
Day.  Memorial Quilt as well as tables with activities and information
provided by your BHS Health Center, community organizations, fellow
students, Peer Educators and Youth Advisors.

2.    Come to the BHS fall play!   Created by Advanced Theatre Projects,
it's called "O" and "E" and is a crazy, modern version of the old Greek
myth.  It opens Friday, December 3rd at 8:00 p.m.   $5 for students.  It's a
good show so don't miss it!

3.    Don't be a loser -- come see the Berkeley High Band and Orchestra
perform on Thursday, December 9th starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Community
Theater.  Admission is free so come and be intellectually stimulated by
the music of Schubert and Persnickety.

4.    Close-up: Washington DC Study trip.  Look at Government "close-Up."
All students interested should meet Wednesday, December 1, at lunch time in
C400.  See Mr. Collier, Mr. Teel or Mr. Angell, with questions.
Applications and information will be available.

Sales
1.    Make sure you buy a yearbook.  The price is still $60.  They will go
up soon.  Come to H102 before school (Zero period) or after school.
