The BHS Jazz Ensemble, ranked #1 in the nation at the Monterey Jazz Festival
H.S. Competition, and its award-winning combos perform a concert that is
FREE to BHS Students, Faculty & Staff as well as Berkeley public middle
school students.  Charles Hamilton, who has directed the Ensemble for 23
years, during which it has produced alums such as No. 1 Grammy artist Joshua
Redman, says the Ensemble is one of the best ever!!!!  Sandwiches, pizza and
all kinds of savory and sweet treats and beverages will be available at the
door.  Genl. Admission is $10, and goes to ensure that each member of the
band, regardless of financial circumstances, can participate fully in the
band’s competitions and tours.
