STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN
November 4, 2004
  
Administration

1.    Work Experience students have a mandatory meeting in C317 at the
beginning of lunch.

2.    Students: please respect the school property by throwing your garbage
in the cans provided throughout the school.  Please do not throw garbage in
the flower beds.  Our school is newly renovated so let's keep it nice and
clean.

3.    If you already took an ID picture and lost it, it can be replaced.
Please submit your name to Rhonda Jefferson in the morning and pick it up by
lunch. IDs cost $5 to be replaced.

4.    All second period classes should continue to collect cans for the
Holiday Meal.  The deadline has been extended.  The second period with the
most cans will be awarded a pizza party.

5.    All chairs of Committees for the Holiday Meal and Canned Food Drive
must attend a mandatory meeting in C400 today at lunch.

6.    REMINDER: If you are applying to a private school, your Secondary
School Report Forms (sometimes called Counselor Recommendation Forms,
included with each college's application), transcript request forms and
envelopes are due on Wednesday, November 10 in the College/Career Center.

Clubs
1.    Hey Berkeley High: The BHS Water Polo team is starting a water polo
club.  Everyone is welcomed no matter what your experience.  We are here to
have a good time.  And to all water polo players who played this past
season, please bring any pictures you have to this upcoming meeting.
November 8th at 3:30 p. m. at the new pool on the bleachers.

2.    Forensics Students: practice Lincoln- Douglas Debate today at lunch in
G215 for Tournament on November 13.

3.    Earphone English: come for a quick meeting at the beginning of lunch
on Friday.

4.    Come to the first Youth for Christ meeting of the year this Friday in
C400 during lunch.  We haven't met for a few years but are now back in
action!  Both Christians and non Christians are welcomed!  Come share your
faith and fellowship in Christ.

Sports
1.    First day of Basketball, Soccer, and wrestling tryouts is Monday,


November 8.  If you haven't had a physical in the last year, you must
schedule now.  Completed physicals and athletic packets are required in
order to tryout.  Pick up packets in the front office or in the athletic
office.

2.    Girls Soccer tryouts will begin on the BHS turf Monday, Nov. 8 from
6:30-8:30pm.  Bring your completed athletic packets with you in order to
tryout.

3.    There is a short Mandatory meeting today at lunchtime in room C127 for
all boys interested in playing soccer this season.

Senior Section 
1.    Seniors! Cap and Gowns orders can be placed starting Wednesday,
November 3rd and November 4th in the courtyard at lunch.  Minimum deposit is
$25.00 per order.

School visits:

Events/ Performance
1.    Stay on the Court: 2 on 2 Bboy/Bgirl basketball battle on November
14th.  Contact Ashkenaz for more information.

Sales
1.    Make sure you buy a yearbook.  The price is still $60 but it will go
up soon.
