Administration
1. Looking for breakfast in the morning? Forgot to grab a bite before you
made it to school?  Then stop by Good Morning Café in H106.  Various
pastries, teas, and coffee being are served each day.  Cost from 50 cent to
$1.00.

2. Work Experience class today at lunch in C317.

Clubs 

1. The Key Club will be meeting TUESDAY in G210 instead of Monday because of
the District-wide Staff Development Day.  Hope to see you all there.

2. California Scholarship Federation (CSF) forms are now available in the
COLLEGE/CAREER center!  If you are new to the program, please come to an
informational meeting at lunch on October 18th.

3. Hey Best Buddies at BHS!  We are having our real "Meet Your Buddy"
meeting on Thursday, October 14, at lunch in H102.  Come and get to know
your buddy.

3. Hey BHS students!  Do you want to give a helping hand to the needy kids
in third world countries?  Come join the Building with Books Club on
Tuesdays at lunchtime in G212.  See you there!

Sports
1. Attention all students:  Have you ever wanted to get in shape, join a
sport or feel in control of your body? Then the Wrestling team might be for
you.  There will be an informational meeting Wednesday , Oct 13, at lunch in
G210.  All shapes and sizes are welcome.  This is for both women's and men's
teams.

2. All BHS Boys are invited to participate in open gym basketball in the
Jacket Gym on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.


3. To all students interested in trying out for Girl's or Boy's Basketball,
Girl's or Boy's Soccer, or Wrestling:  you must have a complete athletic
packet filled out prior to tryouts on November 8th.  If it's not complete,
you cannot tryout.  Line up your physicals now.

4. BHS Girl's Volleyball is undefeated in league.  Come see the 2003 ACCAL
Co-Champion's play  Alameda High Schoolin the Donahue on Thursday, October
14th in the Donahue Gym.  Varsity begins at 5:30 p.m.

5. Congratulations to the Cross Country team on an excellent showing in the
first league meet at Crab Cove last Wednesday.  They run at Tilden Park on
Wednesday in their second and final meet.  Go Jackets!


Senior Section 

1. Seniors!   The "Senior Formals" have a new deadline: October 14th to be
in the yearbook. You can schedule appointments on October, 12, 13, and 14th
from 2:30p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Contact ABC Harrell for more details.

2.  Seniors interested in earning $80.00?  What about the upcoming
Presidential Election?  If so, please come to C406 and sign up to be a poll

Events/ Performance
1. Homecoming is coming: October 22, 2004!  Wear Red and Gold and show your
school spirit, safely.  Remember, in order to attend or participate in the
rally or to enter the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 23rd,  you must
have an Activities Contract signed by you and your parents on file with Ms.
McKnight-Johnson.

Sales
1. Come buy your yearbook every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch in H102 or
everyday between 8:00 and 8:30 am in H102.  This is the final week for $50
books.  Next week they will be $60, so buy your yearbook now!
