SAT/ACT TEST DATES: - Wednesday, October 13 is the late registration
deadline for the November 6 SAT I and II tests.  Friday, November 5 is the
regular registration deadline for the
December 11 ACT test.

APPLY TO 33 HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES with the Black College Common

FOR JUNIORS AND SOPHOMORES
PSAT -- The PSAT is a practice test for the SAT. For juniors, the PSAT is
also the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship.  It will be
given at Berkeley High on Saturday, October 16th .  Sign-ups will begin on
Wednesday, September 22 and will continue through Wednesday, October 6.
Monies will be collected during lunch at the D building ticket windows on
Allston Way. The cost of the test is $22 (cash only).   On October 16,
students will report at 8 a.m. to the garden to find their room assignments.
The test will be administered in the C building. Students should be done by
11:30.

REPEAT SECTION

ESSAY READERS will be available in the College/Career Center on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday at lunchtime.  Start your essay early and get feedback
from experienced readers.

UC/CSU Application Workshops: All workshops will be in the library computer
lab. You must sign up in advance in D221 as there are a limited number of
computers available.  The schedule is as follows:
Monday, October 18, 7:30 a.m.
Tuesday, October 19, 3:30 p.m.
Friday, October 22, 7:30 a.m.
Wednesday, October 27, 7:30 a.m.

To attend the workshops, you must have a Berkeley High user name and
password. If you have not signed into the BHS computer system this year with
your user name and password, come to D221 for more information at least two
days before the workshop.
