Berkeley High is an exciting, high-energy place--especially the first few
weeks of school. Below are three opportunities to spend some time on
campus helping the school and our wonderful students start the year on the
right foot. You are wanted!

1. The counseling and attendance offices need volunteers to deliver schedule
change forms and to collect attendance information during the first two
weeks of school, especially in the morning from 8:30 to 11:00 (but in the
afternoon as well). This is an excellent opportunity to visit dozens of
classes and see Berkeley High in action. If you can help, please call
Rory Bled at 644-4566 or email her at Rory_Bled at berkeley.k12.ca.us.

2. Tuesday, September 7. The school expects several hundred kids to show up
for the first time the day after Labor Day. Four to five parents will be
needed to pass out schedules from 7:30 to 8:30 in the morning. If you can
help, please email Janet Huseby at jhuseby at pacbell.net to let her know.

3. The school photographer will be back in action taking Student IDs on
Wednesdays, September 8 and 15 in the morning from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. and
during lunch from 11:30 to 12:15. Four parents are needed at each session
to sell the Student Organizers, laminate cards and assist the photographers.
If you can help, please email Student Activities Director Ivery
McKnight-Johnson at imcknight at berkeley.k12.ca.us.

Many thanks to the dozens of parents who have already helped out. You have
made a difference.
