Griped by high parking fees when going to downtown Berkeley on Friday or
Saturday night? Turn it into a donation to Berkeley High Athletics instead!

Berkeley High athletes will be selling parking on the old tennis court sites
on Milvia between Bancroft and Durant every Friday and Saturday night
beginning at 5:30 p.m. starting June 18. Cost is $5 for the evening, which
goes to support BHS athletics.

The old Hinks' parking lot is now closed, making downtown parking even
tougher. The Berkeley Athletic Fund is organizing the effort to turn this
irritating situation into an opportunity for BHS athletes to raise money for
their teams. Berkeley High has a proud athletic tradition and, with nearly
60 teams, one of the biggest athletic programs in the western US. Athletics
not only keeps kids healthy, its a big part of what makes kids feel a part
of their school and, in some cases, keeps them in school. So please use your
parking dollars to help support our kids. GO JACKETS11
