Kudos to the BHS Crew teams that participated in this year's SW Jr. National
Races.  The Men's lightweight 4 boat (coxswain Mark Grossberg, and senior
rowers Hogan Edelberg, Zack Mitchell, Will Kalkanis-Ellis and Aaron
Goldman)garnered the Gold Medal beating out Marin, San Diego, Newport, Serra
High and Los Gatos.  The Men's lightweight 8 (coxswain Mark Grossberg and
senior rowers Will Kalkanis, Christin Davis, Toby Bilovsky, Hogan Edelberg,
Zack Mitchell, Aaron Goldman, and sophomores Zander Bice, James Barnett)
gave a thrilling photo finish race beating Los Gatos by .7 seconds for the
silver medal and only 3.7 seconds behind Marin.  The women's fresh 4
(coxswain Amelia Starr and rowers Mikaela Glaser, Sam Schleis, Laura
Cornwall and Chloe Bean),  earned a silver medal against Pacific, Xavier,
Capital and ZLAC. Awards Banquet will be this Friday, May 14.  Way to Go
Jackets!
