BHS Summer Honors Qualification and "skipping a level" math testing will be
August 26 and September 8 at 3:30 in H109. August 26 is the preferred date
as it is before school starts. Students should register by sending an email
to jbodenhausen at berkeley.k12.ca.us with the student's name, date, and test,
and current school, teacher, and course. Students are eligible to test for
honors if they are on the gray area list or if they never tested. They can
take a final exam if they want to take a course beyond their last formal
course they finished at BHS (or if an entering 9th grader, at their former
school). For example, a student who does ATDP geometry over the summer can
take the geometry final to be able to go into Algebra 2 or a studenty who
took Algebra 2 at Vista can take the Algebra 2 final to be able to take
math analysis.
If you have questions, please email Ms Bodenhausen.
