[BHS etree] GRAND OPENING: Thank you

 I want to personally thank the entire Berkeley High School Community for
all the help and the fabulous turn out for the Grand Opening of the New BHS
Buildings D and E on April 25, 2004. The day was gorgeous, the buildings
were beautiful, the BHS students provided excellent entertainment and most
of all there were 6000 members of our community enjoying the celebration. It
was truly an historic event.


A special thank you to the legions of volunteers, who made this event
possible. From the organizers, to the poster hangers, to the sign makers, to
the dozens of helpers on the day of the event who set up, served pizza,
handed out programs, and cleaned up --- thank you all very much, without you
this event would not have happened.



I also want to show special appreciation to all the student performance
groups, and student clubs that participated and introduced the greater
community to all the wonderful student activities at the high school. You
all did a stellar job. I especially want to thank the Key Club for taking a
leadership role in the planning and implementation of this event.



As a result of the huge crowd, we unfortunately sold out of the
commemorative Tee-shirts. They are bright Yellow Jacket Yellow, with a thank
you logo on the front and banner announcing the dedication of the buildings
on the back. If there is sufficient interest I will have more made and sell
them for $10. Contact me, Dibsy at dibsy at comcast.net and please state the
size you would like (Adult S, M, L, XL, XXL) please let me know by Thursday,
May 13.
